I lead global communications and branding for Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems, part of the Hitachi Group. I am the company’s first Chief Communications Officer and the first expatriate assigned to our Tokyo headquarters, where I have lived and worked for nearly four years.

Working in Japan while leading teams across the Americas, EMEA, China, Southeast Asia and Australia has shaped how I advise leaders. It has required careful listening, sound judgment and the ability to move forward when information is incomplete and the implications are significant. In those moments, communications works closely with the CEO and leadership team to align priorities, manage risk and reputation, and support business growth.

My scope includes executive and corporate communications, reputation and crisis management, internal communications, branding, digital channels, and global events and exhibitions. The through line across this work is helping leaders make decisions, keeping organizations aligned and protecting the company’s ability to execute during periods of change.

I hold a Master of Science in Communication from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from DePaul University.

Outside of work, I love running, traveling, hiking and exploring new places.
